Dust is always an issue in small apartments. It seems no matter how much you clean, the dust always returns twice as bad as it was before ????

Also, when you think about what particles make up dust, it makes it WAY worse! (Dead skin cells, pollen, plastic fibers etc..) Although you can’t permanently remove dust, you can control it. The tips below will help ensure you keep the dust to a minimal in your home.

Clean from top to bottom.

Always clean your highest surfaces first and work your way down. This ensures you capture any of the particles that might have fallen while dusting the highest surface.

Instead of a duster, use a damp cloth.

Feather dusters will only cause the dust to spread throughout the home. A damp cloth or paper towel will help trap the dust and prevent it from spreading further.

Get an air purifier.

I know I’ve talked about this before but I am going to say it again: Air purifiers are a must-have product in every room in your home. It can’t capture every dust particle but it does catch a good amount.

Encase your mattress.

If you’re allergic to dust mites, encasing your mattress in a mattress cover will help keep the sneezing to a minimum at night.

Wash your curtains every 4 months.

Fabric curtains are a trap for dust and particles. Occasionally washing your curtains will help keep the dust buildup to a minimum.

Do you have any go-to tips for preventing dust? Let me know down below!
