Any sleep expert will tell you to not keep a T.V. in your bedroom. “Your bedroom is only for sleep and sex.” But I am going to refute that claim and say that it’s perfectly OK to keep a TV in your bedroom.

Your bedroom should be a place of sanctuary: Somewhere you go to unwind and relax. Personally, my idea of relaxation is snuggling up in bed with a good movie on. The one rule I have for watching television in bed is to turn it off 30 minutes before going to sleep. The reason is because the screen emits blue light which prevents the production of melatonin, the hormone that helps you fall asleep. An extra tip is to turn on Night Shift on your phone. This setting allows you to control how much blue light is emitted from your phone before you go to sleep.

I might not have the most glamorous set-up for my T.V., but I am SO glad I have one in my bedroom. It’s perfect for those lazy Sundays and nights after work.
