Yes, you heard me correctly. You CAN redecorate your home without spending money!
We interior addicts (If you’re reading this I know you are one!) have an addiction with always wanted to make changes to our spaces. This usually means going out shopping and buying new furniture or decor, which ends up doing SERIOUS damage to our wallets. Below are a few ways you can still make changes to your space without having to spend a dime.
1. Moving furniture around
This can completely transform the look of your space within a few hours- at no cost to you! Try moving your sofa to the other side of the room or rearrange the furniture in your bedroom.
2. Freecycle
Freecycle and Facebook Marketplace are GREAT resources to find free furniture & decor. You can find serious treasures if you continuously check new listings!
3. Switching out decor
This is the same thing as #1, but on a smaller scale. Have you tried rearranging your pillows or redecorating your coffee table? What changing or switching your wall art? Small changes like this can still make a large impact in your space!
4. Frame free-printable images
Public domain images or free stock photos are GREAT ways to add brand new elements to your space at no cost to you. Just google “free stock photos” and you will find MILLIONS of free-printable images.
5. Sell to buy
Have decor or furniture you’re ready to get rid of? Sell them online and use the money to buy new treasures! I do this ALL the time and it’s saved me so much money in the long run.
And there you have it! Are you going to try any of these tips? Let me know down below!

Great minds think alike – moved everything around in living room yesterday – love you
Great article. Free plants are pretty easy to come by if you ask friends, family, or coworkers.
There’s also the trick of getting free paint from a paint store (where the colors mixed turned out not to be what people wanted), if necessary getting several samples and mixing them to get enough paint for a room. Could be pretty hit and miss, obviously.
Also, I’m going to an event today called a Really Really Free Market. It is part of the sharing economy. People meet and offer free items and services as gifts to other community members. (I’ve never been before, so I don’t have a lot of details yet.) If you look for “Really Really Free Market” on wikipedia.org, it lists several cities where these are held. Or you could start your own!
I LOVE this tip. Such a good idea! Thanks for sharing that event also 🙂
