And keep an eye out for my second book, Shut the Front Door, releasing this Fall!

Your entryway is the first part of your home people will see when they walk through your door. First impressions are always important which means you’ll want to create a statement. Here are a few tips and tricks as to how to do this (without breaking the bank!)

The trick with an entryway is that you want to make it stylish yet functional. The #1 object that you should incorporate into your entryway, if you don’t already have one already, is a mirror. Not only will a mirror add character and depth but it will also serve important purposes. It’s a way to check yourself before heading out the door and it can function as a secondary place for guests to get ready. It’s so easy to get a great deal on a chic mirror that reflects your personal style. I bought mine at the discount store across the street but they also have loads of affordable options on Amazon.

Along that notion, another important element you should add into this space is some sort of table, cabinet or console table .The top of this furniture should be styled with decor, books and/or art. You can stack a couple of books and place some fun decor on top of it or place a large decorative bowl in-between candles. The trick to decorating this piece is to not overdo it. You want to have enough space left over for miscellaneous items to be placed on it throughout the day. I bought my mirrored cabinet from HomeGoods for a great deal. You can find the same style at your local HomeGoods, T.J Maxx or even Amazon!

You have your mirror and furniture and now it’s time for the fun part: your interior statement! This can either be a fun chair next to your console table or some wall decor on either side of your mirrors. You can even use a fun cowhide rug and make that your feature element. The possibilities are endless! Just make sure that whatever decor is in your entryway also reflects the interior style of the rest of your home.

Hi! If the space is small for both the table and chair? Which would be better? Thank you!
