Anyone who lives in a smaller space knows the struggle of finding ANY BIT of square footage to store items. Luckily, I’ve utilized 4 space-saver hacks over the last few years that completely transformed the way I store items in my VERY tiny studio apartment. Check them out below:
1. Use door space for extra storage.
Whether it’s installing small bins or using an over-the-door shoe rack, the vertical space on your doors is a great area for extra storage. Another go-to trick is hanging command hooks on the inside of cabinet doors to store rags, notes, scarves—whatever.
2. Invest in a file cabinet.
If I had to choose only one organizational accessory for the home, it would have to be a file cabinet or file box. We all have bills, instructions, receipts, coupons, tax records, and other paperwork that ends up being piled together in a random drawer or bin. By the time you end up needing a certain document, you can never find it! A file cabinet or file system will drastically make your life feel more organized and less chaotic.

Behind curtains is a great area to store decor, artwork, bags and other small or thin items. A little secret of mine is that I store an item behind every curtain in my home.
4. Find unexpected places for storage.
Have space between your refrigerator and wall? What about space above your kitchen cabinets? These are fabulous places to store items. You can even use a crevice between two pieces of furniture to store thinner items such as trays and bags.
And there you have it! Do you have any unique storage solutions you utilize in your own home? Let me know them down below!
